Paul-Louis Bouchard born in 1853 in Paris, died in 1937 in the same city is a French painter. He specialized in painting history, character compositions and landscapes. Pupil of Boulanger and Lefebvre, he exhibited regularly at the Paris Salon, between 1880 and 1930, and more particularly at the Salon des Artistes Français. He was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1924. He began with historical compositions inspired in particular by medieval history, then his horizon extended to the East and Russia.
