"Exceptional American Walnut Desk"
Important American desk, curtain closing system, rounded blades. Many drawers, some fitted. Subtle locking system for the drawers of the two side boxes: when the curtain is open the drawers open, when closed they remain closed. Two iron legs on spring hidden behind the box of small interior drawers, rise or lower when the shutter is open or closed, which causes a notched blade located behind the drawers of the boxes, drawers then having a small iron lug , this one allowing the blocking or unblocking of the drawers. Very nice waxed patina, original leather in good general condition. Completely disassembles. Period late nineteenth century.
