"2 Posters 70x96 Cm Spes Italy Election Propaganda April 18th 1948"
The two posters are not separated but are glued, front and back on a thin canvas. These are electoral propaganda posters from 1948 commissioned by the Christian Democracy, aimed at the civic mobilization of Catholics in Italy with a strong anti-communist orientation and not only: as can be seen in the symbology of the 2 posters. On April 18, 1948 the Italians, for the first time, after the entry into force of the Constitution, were called upon to elect their representatives to the Parliament of their first Republic.
