"Large Chinese Carved Red Lacquer Vase"
Large vase with flower motif in carved red lacquer. China mid 20th century. In Chinese culture, the abundance of floral motifs symbolizes wealth. The Peony is the "queen of flowers". It is also the flower of domination and nobility. The interior and bottom of the vase are enamelled in midnight blue and set with a brass circle. The whole is 20 cm high. Diameter at the top of the vase 7 cm Diameter in the middle of the vase 10 cm
