"French School Circa 1900: "the Blue Cave Of Capri""
French school circa 1900: “La Grotte Bleue de Capri”, gouache 20 X 29 cm, mounted by a marie-louise with nets in a cream and gold frame 36 X 47 cm from the Maison Varichon-Lamazouère in Pau. A famous sea cave, the famous “Grotta Azzurra” in Capri is, like the Bridge of Sighs in Venice, one of the high places of Italian romantic tourism. No visible signature. Do not hesitate to ask us by email or telephone for additional information or photos. We have many objects and paintings to restore in our shop/capernaum/depot in Pau where I let myself be a little overwhelmed and for which we prefer to sell on site, preferably in batches. Come and help us tidy up by buying! Other photos and many other objects in our shops in Pau and Biarritz and on our website: galerielhoste.com.
