"Large Pair Of Vases Signed Ruaud, Limoges, Circa 1860"
Pair of large Limoges porcelain baluster vases with orientalist decoration, the bodies flanked by two gilded naturalist handles in the shape of branches holding vine branches. The vase are stamped by the artiste of Limoges factory, RUAUD, actif from 1829 to 1869.
The paunches are decorated in polychromy with oriental wedding scene, against a background of landscape and architecture.
Each vase is decorated on both sides with a different scene.
A vase bears a cartridge "Porcelaine de Limoges", the second vase is signed in hollow "RUAUD" under the vase.
