"Kadjar Jacket In Paperback And Indian Lampas - Persia Nineteenth Century"
Second half of the 19th century Persia Iran Beautiful female bodice jacket with a cut reminiscent of Persian ceremonial clothes that can be seen in the painted miniatures of the Kadjar period. Beautiful marine silk lampas brocaded with a golden yellow and orange seedling (probably earlier than the cut). Typical cut with large punctures in the sleeves and under the armpits. Shaped basques on the hips and perimeter entirely piped with ribbons, satin and blue braids. Lining in probably Russian flowered Indian. Four ties for bell buttons on the cuffs of each sleeve (only two buttons present). Clean and flawless piece. Very good condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: Equivalent size France 35/36. Height 51 cm, shoulders 30 cm, sleeves 65 cm, chest 75 cm, waist 73 cm.
