Large oil painting on canvas signed ZELTER (Georges Joseph Zelter 1938 – 1987 pupil of André Lhote and Henri Goetz) Titled on the back "En vue de Trouville" Pointillist composition featuring a Navy evoking a regatta located in Normandy in the bay of Trouville-sur-Mer opposite the Casino. Montmartre frame in carved wood with gilt patina. Good general condition: 85 cm X 70 cm / at sight: 65 cm X 50 cm. Georges Joseph Zelter (1938 – 1987) Painter of landscapes including views of Paris and Normandy, port seascapes and still lifes. He uses the pointillist technique of the neo-impressionists of which Seurat was the leader, he offered a work for a sale organized in 2002 in Paris for the benefit of the Jewish Unified Appeal of France.
