Nineteenth Painting Animated Mountain Landscape
Elegant early 19th century oil painting depicting an animated mountain landscape. We see in the foreground a shepherdess entering the village accompanying her flock of sheep and passing in front of the wash house. In the background a fortification is on the top of a hill and just behind the mountains. Landscape that can be Italian by the headdress of the shepherdess, paint job of great finesse, where the colors have remained bright and luminous. The set is presented in a wooden frame and gilded stucco from the restoration period.
