"Cameron Edgar Piers (1862-1944) - Femme Au Bain - Ecole de Pont Aven - Dedicacé Pension Gloanec"
Large and stunning oil on wood pannels by the american painter Edgar Piers Cameron. Signed and dedicatedd to "M. et Mme Le Gloanec" in the tope left corner.
It is most certain that this painting was a gift to the owners of the Gloanec Pension where most artists stayed when in Pont-Aven (such as Gauguin for exemple). Cameron went to France in 1884-1886, this most probably at that time that the gift was given.
