The piqueur is a hunting valet on horseback, dressed here in the style of the Louis XV period, leading the pack of dogs, here he is at the belay, dismounted from his mount ready to sound with his trumpet, dressed in a red coat , the hunting sword at his side and holding his dog of the “Gascogne blue” breed. This sculpture is an unsigned proof, in patinated bronze and painted in polychromy. This subject was produced, according to the orders, in bronze.)
