 This pair of basins is probably a work of the great lathe by its resemblance to those of the ancient Roman era but of large size.
Moreover, and rarely in pairs, the cuts in centerpieces are never organized in such a basin design.

Each basin is placed on a base with curved pyramid coffers. The body has the base enlarged in gadroons as for a Medici vase. The edge is surrounded by very elegant volutes in ribbons tied in four parts and joining in a floret of foliage or on large pearls.  
As well as the design, the workmanship of these pieces is of unfailing quality.

State :
Excellent condition for this type of object apart from very small chips of use on the lower edge of the base and a repair at an almost invisible angle. Beautiful marble patina.
Botticino marble was used for churches or architectural elements in the 16th century, for example.
