"Cross From Puy-en-velay, In Gold, XIXth Century"
Cross of region, typical of the region of Clermont, Puy-en-Velay.
It is made of 18K gold.
It represents Christ on one side, and the Virgin on the other.
Traditional, it is composed of fine chiselling, palmettes at the ends and 3 pendants in the form of smooth drops.
These pendants are hollow, just slightly sunken.
They represent the tears of Christ.
