"Important Plaster Medallion, After David d'Angers (1788-1756), End Of The 19th Century."
-Important medallion in low relief in plaster by Pierre Jean David D'Angers representing the profile of Louis-Jérôme Gohier (1788-1830), magistrate and politician at the beginning of the 19th century. This cast was made from a plaster preserved today at the David D'Angers Museum, of slightly larger dimensions (60 cm in diameter) and made around 1840. Another carved marble medallion adorns the tomb of Louis-Jérôme Gohier at the Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris. Bronze medals are also found in the collections of the Louvre Museum and the Carnavalet Museum.
