"Oyster Fisherwoman In Cancale, Oil On Cardboard Signed Eugène Feyen (bey-sur-seille, 1815-1908)"
Painting signed Eugène FEYEN (1815-1908) representing one of his favorite themes, the oyster and shellfish fisherwoman in the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel in Cancale in Brittany. A fine observer of the life of sea workers, he liked to set up his easel every summer in Cancale where he painted the daily life of fishermen and their families, on the coast or aboard bisquines sailing in the bay. His works are exhibited in many museums (Nancy, Mulhouse, Quimper, Rennes, Lille, Rio de Janeiro)
