"Renaissance 2 Body Retractable Buffet"
Very beautiful buffet two bodies in walnut, with withdrawal from the Renaissance period. This piece of furniture has a superb quality of wood and above all a rich decor typical of Renaissance furniture: the doors are made up of flowerbed motifs, the uprights are richly carved with plant motifs (including the rear uprights of the furniture) and end in slightly projecting capitals. The cornice rests on a band also decorated with patterns of small rosettes. These motifs are reminiscent of those disseminated by collections of engravings and ornaments and are typical of the second Renaissance in France, particularly in vogue between the middle of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century. The piece of furniture is finally crowned with a pretty pediment decorated with a central rosette. Note some small old restorations, locks and posterior keys.
