"Important Sauceboat Louis XVI, Paris 1783, Antoine Lucas, Sterling Silver"
Sumptuous sauce boat in sterling silver from the Louis XVI period by the hand of the Parisian master goldsmith Antoine Lucas, with Paris hallmarks for the year 1783. It is decorated with beaded edges interspersed by two pretty handles with foliage decorations. The umbilicus of the foot is fluted and rests on a plinth, also decorated with a beaded edge. Magnificent example of this exquisite Parisian production from the end of the eighteenth century which is rather rare on the market. It weighs 425 grams.
