"Jean Pascaud Storage Cabinet"
Storage cabinet in rosewood veneer with vertical rectangular body opening with two doors sheathed in original natural parchment with diamond pattern. Recessed base placed on a curved base underlined by a ring and two lateral protection strips in gilded brass. Round tapered gilt bronze pull handle (diameter: 19 cm). Sycamore interior with four adjustable shelves and two drawers. The three keys are original. Waxed finish. Period circa 1935 Furniture remained in the same family since its purchase in the 1935s. Length: 158 cm Depth: 41 cm Height: 174.5 cm Jean Pascaud (1903 - 1996) is a great French decorator and interior designer of the 1930s and 1940s Pascaud is an Arts et Manufactures engineer and a law graduate. He exhibited in 1931 at the Salon des artistes décorateurs. His productions follow on from the ensembles of Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann.
