Valérian Regnart (active in Roma between1626 to 1650 circa) was a french engaver, living in the fierst half of the XVIIth c.
Published in Roma by François Collignon in 1650, without any title, but in a set known as: Praecipia urbis templa
the plates show elevations, sections and plans of 16th and 17th century Roman churches, figuring captions identifying them and their architects (with occasional misattributions.)
They include works by Carlo Maderno, G. della Porta, F. da Volterra, the Longhi family, G.B. Soria and many other known architectes of the time.
