Excellent quality and large scale condition of early accounts of Dutch colonization of Brazil identified as Sao Paolo where Willaerts sailed with Governor or Dutch possessions in 1638, returning hoe in 1644. View is distinctly similar to other works de Willaerts of the period and his partly historical, partly whimsical account of the colonized ports and ports of Brazil. Framed and with label on the back.
