Copy number 126 on Dutch laid paper. Original edition. Very good condition despite the fact that the title page is loose. The author prefaces his book "To the young bibliophile happy to collect original editions M. James de Rothschild lawyer at the court of Paris". Gabriel-Jules Janin, born in Saint-Étienne on February 16, 1804 and died in Paris on June 19, 1874, was a French playwright and critic. He is best known for his text "L'âne mort" and his correspondence with Victor Hugo.
