Made in the last years of the 19th century, this rare etching by Lucien Gautier depicts the Paris of petty trades, horse-drawn vehicles circulating on the archbishop's bridge and the magnificence of Notre Dame. Signed in the engraving on the left and in pencil on the right: Lucien Gautier (1850 - 1925). Engraver, draftsman and painter. Settled in Paris in 1875, he organized a photographic service for the police headquarters. Many official awards. An engraver with a photographic eye. Large engraving presented in a pretty frame inlaid with rosewood mesh with its old glass.
