JORIS 1911 Base: 26 x 61cm Dim. 26 x 68cm H. 48cm Belgian animal sculptor, interested in the representation of wild animals that he observes at Antwerp Zoo. Sculpt animals in action. Edgar JORIS Antwerp 1885-1916 Son of sculptor Frans Joris, studied at the Antwerp Academy with sculptors Frans Deckers and Jacques De Braekeleer. In 1905, he received a 1st prize and in 1907, the Van Lerius Prize.
