"XIXth Cane Knob Decor Of Two Lions Pursuing Sculpture"
This cane pommel shows great technical prowess, indeed two lions are in action (a lion and perhaps a lioness). Everything is from the end of the 19th century, nicely carved, a beautiful technique, especially in the look and the open mouth of the lion. Probably Asian work. We report rubbing and scratches on the whole object, stains, everything is visible in our photos, rust on the thread, however the object remains in a decent state of conservation.
