"Pappenheim Rapier - Spain - XVII°"
Rapier called Papenheim, probably Spanish, with asymmetrical shell, 17th century. Donkey-stepped mount with flattened rivet knob pommel and unfixed knuckle bow at pommel. Guard branch and inverted quillon in an "S" with a large ricasso donkey step, on a solid asymmetrical shell with line decoration, called "BOCA DE CABELLO" (horse's mouth). Flat blade with 2 cutting edges and central throat at two thirds of 44 cm. Wooden rocket.
