"Paperolle Reliquary, Late 17th Century"
Paperolle reliquary of Saint François d'assize with relic of Saint Fidele in its original frame from the end of the 17th century In the center Saint François in adoration before a crucifix in a medallion and relic of Saint Fidele below. Paperolles are a decoration technique using narrow strips, or crimps of paper, rolled up on themselves and fixed on a support or in a frame.
