"Rare Haute Epoque XVIIth Century Candlestick"
Rare and interesting model of Haute Epoque candlestick which offers the particularity of presenting under its octagonal base a projecting cross decoration; brand which makes it, from its creation, a copy attached to a religious community or perhaps even manufactured within the latter... High binet pierced with a fenestron and ringed. Quality casting and turning. Very good used condition and superb old patina. French or Spanish work from the first half of the 17th century. Very similar model published in the English book by RFMichaelis "Old Domestic Base-Metal Candlesticks", page 99, figure 143.
