Pietà, 16th Century circle of Quinten MASSYS (1466-1530) Beautiful 16th century Dutch Old Master depiction of the Pietà, oil on oak panel. Large scene of the Virgin Mother embracing the body of Christ in her arms. Presented in a large antique arched wooden frame. Excellent surface finish and good panel condition/stability for its age. Some repaints. Similar to the works of the painter Van Cleeve and Massys of the time. Dimensions: 30" x 24" framed approximately
