Originally from Dieulefit in the Drôme, he worked in the family textile business when he decides to embark on the adventure of glass. Morin set up his workshop in Dieulefit in the early 1970s. On June 27, 1970, the official opening of the "Pontil" glassworks took place. The pitchers, goblets, soliflores and "pebbles" created from that year are colored in the mass. Their hues, which range from amethyst to moss green via topaz and amber, delicately mottled by the color residues left in the crucible, are available tone on tone. Claude Morin's first exhibition at the Club de Genève gallery in September 1970 was crowned with success. Exhibitions in France and abroad will follow one another. Dieulefit will become under his leadership one of the most creative and innovative workshops of its time. Some pieces are kept at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris and at the Glass Museum in Conches-en-Ouche in the Eure.
