"Group In Gilt Bronze, In The Style Of Louis XV, Napoleon III Period - Circa 1850"
Gilt bronze sculpture, forming a centerpiece, representing an allegory of summer, in the guise of two putti playing on sheaves of wheat. The chubby-featured toddlers hold out their arms to the sky, their faces smiling, as if offering themselves up to the summer sun. Each wearing a crown of laurels on their curly hair, one is in an almost lying position, the second is standing, one knee resting on the ears of corn. This representation rests on a foliated and ribbed bronze base, all in curve of rockery style. This sculpted group with a playful theme will bring sparkle and elegance to the table on which you choose to place it.
