"Old Bag Khourdjin Kurdish Jaff"
ANCIENT KHOURDJIN KURDISH JAFF SADDLE These bags/saddle pads were woven on portable looms by the Kurds of the Jaff tribe which is established mainly in the Zagros Mountains in the North-West of Iran. All my thanks to Mr. Navarro who identified it for me. Presenting characteristic colors with very high quality traditional patterns, they are easily identifiable, even if their artisanal manufacture makes them all different. The back part being of a weaving and in different colors. This one, particularly old, I think from the beginning of the 20th century, and of rare dimensions (approximately 79 X65 cm), has been used a lot and its wear and other holes roughly repaired, giving it an authentic charm. They have been professionally cleaned recently. Other photos and many other objects in our shops in Pau and Biarritz and on our website: galerielhoste.com.
