Mid-19th century baluster vase in blown opaline crystal called white opaline and vitrified polychromy. The vase has a decoration of polychrome with different types of parrots perched in flowering branches.The subject here of birds is extremely rare and these are remarkably well executed. The painting on these vases can be attributed to Jean-François Robert. The neck and foot of the vase are adorned with motifs of lambrequins and gold bands.
French Restauration. Circa 1840.

Condition Report: In overall good condition, with light wear to the gilding.
