"Charles X Cut Crystal Casket With Ormolu Mounts. "
Large rectangular cut-crystal casket with a rounded facets on the body. The hinged lid has a size with radiating ribs and diamond points. The ormolu frame and lock plate are very intricately engraved with small scrollwork, and foliage.A putti in the round adorns the lid, it extends a hand in which is a flower. This box by the fineness of the size of the crystal and by the quality of bronze is representative of the decorative objects of the French Restauration and especially the production of Le Creusot.
Some small cracked.
