"Framed Diorama Showcase, Says"
Astonishing and rich diorama, like "paradise of Nevers". Papers and paperolles, shells and pearls, foam and plaster build a grotto to the Glory of Saint Geneviève. Geneviève is always depicted wearing a noble maiden's dress and a medallion. She and accompanied by a lamb. Here she sits enthroned on a suspended footbridge, surrounded by a multitude of white birds and seven angels, in a rich animal and plant universe. At the bottom of the cave, the Celestial Jerusalem can be guessed, which can be associated here with the Garden of Eden.
