Object description :

"Villard Valve"
This type of pear-shaped tube was used to regulate the current in the right direction through an x-ray tube, from the anticathode to the cathode. This electric valve, which was introduced in 1899, is named after its inventor: the French physicist and chemist Paul-Ulrich Villard (1860-1934).
Nice laboratory model in very good condition, with an old label without mention.
