Note that the frame is damaged below as well as the panel on the back (see photos) Born in 1920 and died in 1971, René Aberlenc is a French painter, brother of the poet André Antonin (1914 - 1977). A self-taught artist, he met in Alès, just before the war, the painter André Chaptal and the sculptor Jean Carton (1912 - 1988). In May 1945, he moved to Montparnasse and frequented the painters of the Hive. Many of his friends were painters (Paul Rebeyrolle, René Genis, Guy Bardone, Isis Kischka) and sculptors (Marcel Gimond, René Babin, Charles Auffret, to name but a few). of the New School of Paris. Member of the committee, he exhibited at the Saleon de la Jeune Peinture and was supported by art critics and poets of his time.
