"Napoleon III White Marble Fireplace In Louis XIV Style"
Important fireplace in white Carrara marble, Napoleon III period, Louis XIV style, complete and in perfect condition. Its headband is decorated with an inverted bat's wing, in a scrolled cartridge, from which spring bouquets of flowers emerging from a base. A generous torus runs through its focal line with spandrel angles charged with a rosette. Its curved uprights are carved with net and cavet tables. Its embossed brass narrow hearth is original. Its floor slab has been redone as originally, in bluish gray marble, recalling the veins of Carrara marble, 145 cm long. The total depth, including the floor slab, is 69 cm.
