Michèle Teysseyre XXth, the little lare god, oil on wood, dimensions 76.5/46cm Michèle Teysseyre divides her activities between writing (particularly around Venice and Latin heritage), fine arts (especially painting) and movie theater. . After studying literature and then a brief stint in teaching, she devoted herself to artistic creation. From his interest in Antiquity were born "Saveurs et senteurs de la Rome Antique", devoted to the culinary art of Apicius, followed by Ancient Roman festivals with the Latinist Danielle Porte (Paris IV Sorbonne) then La Saveur de Rome (vagabondage greedy in Latin lands). His encounter with Venice is decisive and inspires his paintings, books and films. She frequently stayed in the city, notably for her research work at the Biblioteca nazionale Marciana. Her novel "Me, Veronica Franco, courtesan in Venice" (Grand Prix littéraire de la Ville de Toulouse 2007) inspired the musical creation Musiques pour une courtesan vénitienne by the Ritratto dell'Amore ensemble in 2013. Her second novel "La Tintoretta (i.e. Marietta Robusti) was the subject of a musical reading by the actor Didier Sandre and the baroque ensemble Les Passions in 2012. She then published "Monsieur Riquet", a historical novel inspired by the life of Pierre Paul Riquet, creator of the Canal du Midi. She is also co-author of the documentary film by Jean Périssé, La Fabuleuse Histoire de monsieur Riquet (2014), with Bernard Le Coq in the title role.
