Pendant In Vermeil, Porcelain, Fine Pearls And Precious Stones, Mid-19th Century
Vermeil pendant, opening and set with a porcelain plate surrounded by fine pearls, a line of white polka dots on a black enamel background and floral motifs set of little emeralds and rubies. The hand-painted rectangular porcelain plaque features a scene of two children playing with a wheelbarrow. This pendant is surmounted by a knot set with fine half-pearls serving as a bail. On the reverse, this pendant opens with a small glass door that can hold a lock of the loved one's hair.
