"Anthropomorphic Creamer, Sterling Silver, Netherlands Late Nineteenth Century"
Unique anthropomorphic creamer in solid silver, late nineteenth century. It bears so-called "convenience" hallmarks, that is to say hallmarks which are fancy hallmarks which want to give the impression that they are old hallmarks but which do not really have the purpose of inducing the amateur in error. These are generally hallmarks inspired by eighteenth century hallmarks but of several origins mixed on the same piece of goldsmithery. In this case we recognize a Dutch hallmark and a hallmark inspired by the charge hallmark of the generality of Lille. The small jug weighs 90 grams.
