A beautiful Sarab gallery, 455 cm long and 103 wide, hand-knotted in solid wool.
It is a type of Persian carpet knotted in the city of the same name, about fifty kilometers from Ardebil.
The decor has a very strong Caucasian inspiration, that is to say, rectilinear and geometric.
Its most common pattern consists of rows of diamonds on a plain background, usually "camel hair" color.
One of the peculiarities of its rugs is that the outermost edge is a solid color similar to that of the bottom of the rug.
This type of carpet is very similar to those of Meshkin.
Our model has five large diamonds based on coral and black, which provides a very nice visual contrast.
It is an old carpet with its advantages of beauty and quality over time and great robustness, wear from use.
