Beautiful optical sight, quite rare on the market, listed in all Navy and Canadian museums, complete and in good condition. PERSPECTIVE VIEW OF THE DESCENT OF THE FRANCOIS TO ISLE DE TERRE NEUVE FROM THE COAST OF SAINT JEAN TO THE WEST. At the orders of the Chevalier de Ternay, Captain of Vessels of His Most Christian Majesty, who has under his command the warships the Robuste and the Awakened, the frigate, the Licorne and the Flute, the Garonne with some landing troops made a descent into the Island of Newfoundland near St Jean where he seized an English Warship as well as several Ships and Fishing Vessels that he had destroyed.
