Louis XVI Showcase In Carved Rosewood

Rare Louis XVI showcase made of very finely carved solid rosewood. Opening a front door decorated with floral garlands and heart-shaped friezes, the sides are domed and delimited by two fluted pilasters ending in a neoclassical capital. In the upper part, a generous ogee decorated with foliage hugs the contours of the piece of furniture, it is topped by a white Carrara marble top molded in the groove on both sides.

Inside, two height-adjustable glass shelves and white fabric upholstery with a strip on the lower part. Ice bottom at the back.

Oak funnels.

Most certainly Parisian work of extreme finesse, the sculptures are of very high quality, work all the more exceptional when you know the difficulty of sculpting rosewood which is one of the hardest woods.

Very good condition, completely revised, cleaned, the varnish has been repolished by our workshop.
