The embroidery depicts a Japanese pagoda (a Buddhist temple used to store relics) in a forest. The traditional wooden pagoda building has its corners slightly curved upwards to look like tree branches and better match the natural landscape. Japan, Meiji era (1868-1912) / Taisho (1912-1926). Frame: 122 x 74.5 cm, transparent frame: 118.5 x 71 cm. Condition shown in the photos, very good. Contemporary frame, with glass. Method and cost of delivery to be agreed.
