"Man With A Tiger, China, Qing Dynasty, 19th Century."
The polychrome wooden sculpture represents a man (one of the Immortals?) accompanied by a tiger. The menacing pose of the man gives the impression that he is a guardian or a warrior. The wooden sculpture is covered with a thick polychromy (lacquer, traces of gilding) with relief motifs. At the back of the sculpture is a hiding place - a reliquary, which seems to have been opened in the past. China, Qing dynasty, 19th century. Height 52 cm, width 30 cm, depth 20 cm. Good condition, slight loss of polychromy. Free delivery in EU. ! I send parcels by insured courier (DPD or DHL). All items are packaged very carefully.
