Affortunato Gori (or Gory) Italian sculptor active from 1895 to 1925. Very beautiful double bronze bust portrait representing a young couple from the art deco period, resting on a black marble base. Superb patina. Signature A. Gori. Affortunato Gori executed numerous portraits in marble and bronze, as well as subjects of oriental inspiration of which several prints are known. Our bronze group, with its very intimate character, is the only known example of this subject, which gives it a unique character. Small accidents on the base.
