"A Louis XVI Period (1774 - 1793) Barometer - Thermometer."

A Louis XVI period carved gilt wood barometer, decorated with the allegory of the music (lyre and flutes). The barometer is surmounted by a corn and flower wreath. Signed "Par Binda/ Nangis". Original gilding.
The barometer is in good working order.

After Torricelli (1608 - 1647) and Réaumur (1683 - 1757).
