Joseph-René Verdier (Parcé-sur-Sarthe 1819 - Saint-Gervais, near Blois 1904) was a French painter watercolourist. He studied with Auguste Bonheur and did forest landscapes of Sologne which he exhibited at the Salon from 1845 until 1878. Verdier also painted Breton, Norman and Creusois landscapes.
