Orange terracotta vase decorated with 4 leaves all around the belly by the ceramist Jacques Blin. Signed J.Blin under the base. Slight chipping at the neck and cooking crack under the base. He will produce vases, plates, tiles, lamp holders, and other utilitarian and decorative objects. His very characteristic decorative technique consists of archaic hand-engraved motifs. He uses the intaglio method, sgraffito style before firing, then applying a beautiful glaze of colored enamels of metal oxides during a second firing. Marble effect background colors typically use blue, celadon, parma, orange, or white. They bring out the thick lines of engraved and blackened designs. Its style is inspired by parietal art, rock art or Cretan art found on vases, pottery and ancient frescoes. »
