Framed Portrait
We offer for purchase today, this portrait of an officer from the Louis Philippe - Restoration - Charles X period, with three decorations on the chest including the Legion of Honor. Curiously this oil on canvas at one time was a little reduced, we see it at the back by the overrun of the frame and this was done incontestably to be able to assemble it in this magnificent carved wooden frame from the late 17th century under Louis XIV. So we can say that 2 different lots are sold together. Home condition, we have not touched the frame or the paint. It is possible that a signature will be discovered by someone who would like to go further. We are selling this set as we bought it from an old family in our area.
